Letters to myself
You pull away when it gets going
When there is rain and the land is alive and moving
Seeing as far ahead as your hands and the same
Trying to change
Soak your skin
Let it sting
Drenched you became
Looking further and more within
There is shelter in this storm
You put your palms forth and up to face the drain
Imbue the pelting and reform the frame
Mark the ground with your feet standing
Reached to the strength of living in the now
With others running to be covered
You presently accept and allow
All that is revealing
skyward.
